Factor V Leiden Mutation and Prothrombin Mutation Testing Now Performed In-house
G/RMH labs are pleased to announce that the Factor V (R506Q) Leiden mutation and Prothrombin (G20210A) mutation assays are now being performed in-house. These genetic mutations are associated with a significantly increased risk for venous thromboembolism (VTE) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and are a routine part of stroke, VTE, and PE workups.
G/RMH Labs Announces Contract with Cigna
Effective December 15, 2006, Grant/Riverside Laboratories will be an in-network contracted laboratory for Cigna patients. Physicians can begin to send their Cigna lab work to our reference lab beginning on this date. "The addition of Cigna expands our ability to serve patients the greater Columbus community, and reinforces our commitment to our referring physicians". G/RMH Reference Lab Continues to Accept United Health Care (UHC)
United Health Care's recent announcement for a national lab contract does not impact the relationship between Grant/Riverside Laboratories and UHC.
